What is it about small cars that is so attractive? Some people will purchase a small car because it is fun to drive and easy to park. Others will say small cars get good gas mileage and if you don’t have a family, why not have a small car. But we also find small cars cute. Case in point, the Mini Cooper.
It was 1959 when a groundbreaking new subcompact car from England was introduced. It had a transverse-mounted engine and a surprising amount of space inside the compact exterior. It was affordable, fun to drive and could be parked with ease. It was popular in the 1960′s and then faded.
In 2002 it returned after a lengthy break and quickly appealed to a diverse audience.
